World’s First Restaurant With Free AI | Xin — Xin Journal

The World’s First Restaurant With Free AI Is Here. Welcome to Xin.

For years, restaurants have given us free Wi-Fi. Xin has decided to give you something far more interesting: free AI access. Xin is now the world’s first restaurant to give its diners free access to AI, and we could not be happier about it. Not because we wanted to add another shiny piece of technology to the dining experience, but because we believe a restaurant can be a place where something more than an appetite gets fed. An idea can begin over lunch, a conversation can turn into a business, a ridiculous thought can become a brilliant one, and a question can lead somewhere completely unexpected. Sometimes, all it takes is the right nudge to get your brain moving. That is exactly why we brought Mira to Xin.

Free Wi-Fi Was the Beginning. Free AI Is Our Next Step.

There is nothing wrong with free Wi-Fi. We love it too. It helps you find a restaurant, send a message, check something you suddenly need to know and, naturally, decide which photograph of your meal deserves to make it to Instagram. But Xin has always been interested in what happens after you put the phone down. What happens when people actually talk? What happens when someone asks a better question? What happens when a table becomes a place to explore an idea instead of simply a place to eat? That curiosity has been at the heart of Xin from the beginning.

Our Genius Challenges invite diners to stop, think and respond, while the Xin Idea Canvas gives thoughts somewhere to go. Our tables have seen strangers become collaborators, friends turn into brainstormers and completely unplanned conversations turn into ideas worth pursuing. Now, we have given those ideas a new thinking partner: Mira. Instead of simply giving you an answer and moving on, Mira is designed to help you think through the question. If you have an idea but do not know where to begin, bring it to Mira. If you have a business concept that feels exciting but slightly ridiculous, bring that too. If you are trying to solve a problem, develop a project, explore a new concept or figure out whether an idea has legs, Mira can help you work through it.

Mira can challenge your assumptions, ask questions, help you explore possibilities, uncover different directions and push an unfinished thought a little further. You can even bring in things you are already working on, including documents, spreadsheets, images and scribbles, and use them as part of the conversation. The goal is not to make Mira do the thinking for you. The goal is to make your thinking better. That is why we call her a thinking partner.

And Yes, Kids Can Use Mira AI Too.

This is one of the things we are particularly excited about. AI is often brilliant at giving instant answers, but when every answer arrives instantly, there is a risk that we stop enjoying the process of figuring things out. Mira takes a different approach by encouraging curiosity, exploration and problem-solving rather than simply handing over the finished solution. A child with an idea for a better school bag can explore the problem instead of simply being handed a solution. A teenager working on a project can test different possibilities, while a young inventor can ask “What if?” and keep going. Parents can sit alongside their children and think together, teachers can use ideas as starting points, and friends can turn a question into a challenge. We do not just want the next generation to be good at finding answers; we want them to be brilliant at finding possibilities. Honestly, we think adults could use a little more of that too.

Bring Your Friends and Brainstorm Together.

Some ideas get better the moment another person hears them, which is why Mira lets you invite friends into the same conversation so you can work on one idea together. People can bring their own perspectives, challenge one another, build on each other’s thoughts and see where the conversation takes them. Imagine sitting at Xin with friends, a table full of food and one completely wild idea. One person makes it bigger, someone else spots a problem, another person suggests something nobody had considered, and Mira helps keep the conversation moving. Suddenly, you are not just having dinner; you are brainstorming. That is very Xin.

This Is What We Mean by Feed Your Genius.

Xin has always believed that food is only part of what makes a great table. The rest is what happens around it. It is the person you meet, the story someone tells, the argument that somehow becomes fascinating, the challenge that makes you look at something differently and the idea that arrives when you least expect it. That is why Feed Your Genius has never been just a tagline for us. It is an invitation to eat something delicious, ask a strange question, challenge an assumption, write something down, start something you have been putting off, take an idea seriously for five minutes or take a completely silly idea seriously for five minutes and see what happens. At Xin in Koramangala, HSR, Ooty and Coonoor, we want our tables to be places where people come not just to eat, but to think, talk, make and imagine. Mira is the newest member of that table, and we are thrilled to see what diners do with her.

Welcome to Cognitive Hospitality.

We could have stopped at free Wi-Fi. Instead, Xin has chosen to do something we believe no restaurant in the world has done before: give its diners free access to an AI designed around thinking and ideation. Not as a gimmick and not as a feature hidden somewhere in a menu, but as part of what it means to dine at Xin.

We call it cognitive hospitality, the idea that hospitality can feed your mind as happily as it feeds your appetite. A restaurant can give you a beautiful meal, a great view, music, conversation and a reason to stay a little longer. We think it can also give you an idea, and that idea might become something much bigger.

So, What Are You Going to Think About?

Maybe you already have an idea. Maybe you have ten. Maybe you have absolutely nothing and simply want to see what happens when you start asking better questions. That is the fun of Mira: there is no right way to arrive. Come to Xin hungry and curious, bring your friends, bring a notebook full of terrible ideas or bring the one idea you have been afraid to say out loud. Then open Mira and see where it goes. You might arrive expecting a meal and leave with a new possibility, a different perspective or the beginning of something you had not imagined before. Because the world’s first restaurant with free AI is here, and at Xin, we are not just serving you dinner. We are giving your ideas a seat at the table.
