On September 2, 2024, Bangalore Times Food dropped a spotlight that landed like a friend nudging you toward a good table. "Transform your dining experience at this location in HSR Layout" — a single line that captured what we had been building quietly for months.
What the story caught
The piece framed Xin as a novel concept for Bengaluru — sleek, modern, open-kitchen, and unapologetically Asian. It pulled out the two ideas we care about most: the "My Bowl, My Way" build-your-own experience, and the little rituals that ask diners to think differently while they eat — the Threads of Innovation challenge, the Genius Cards, the warm room that wants to nourish body and mind in equal measure.
Why HSR is our second home
HSR is where builders eat lunch between two deep-work sprints, where founders slip in for a bowl and stay for the whiteboard. When Bangalore Times chose HSR as the location to spotlight, they were quietly agreeing with something we always felt — this neighbourhood does not want more restaurants, it wants places that respect the way it thinks.
What we hope you take away
Read the piece if you like well-written food journalism. But if you can, come see the ambience they photographed — the purple neon on brick, the open kitchen where every bowl is composed in front of you, the round tables sized for the exact conversation you were meant to have that day. And bring one idea worth putting on a card.
